Throughout my childhood I was heavily involved in the Boy Scouts of America. While in Boy Scouts, I got the opportunity to earn the Rank of Eagle Scout. The rank of Eagle is so prestigious that only four percent of scouts ever earn it. I also had the opportunity to receive my Scuba Diver Certification while in the Boy Scouts. I was inducted into the Order of the Arrow, Scouting's honor society. I spent three years in the Order of the Arrow. I earned a total of fifty-one merit badges, ranging from Fire Safety, to Aviation, as well as Search and Rescue, and Scuba Diving. I have held many different positions within the Troop, from Librarian to Junior Assistant Scoutmaster. I have had the opportunity to go Scuba Diving in Florida and Hawaii. I have been flying airplanes for approximately five years, and have increased my skill and knowledge drastically. I am a Commercial Pilot-Airplane Single and Multi-Engine Land-Instrument Airplane. I have time in multiple aircraft, ranging from single to multi engine, and fixed and retractable gear. I am currently working on my Certified Flight Instructor Ratings. I worked as a lineman at the Russellville Regional Airport From May 2017 to January 2019. My duties included fueling and parking airplanes, doing fuel quality checks, and making sure the airport ran efficiently and safely. I had the opportunity to be an Emergency Management intern at the Russellville Airport in the summer of 2019. While interning at the airport I updated their Emergency Plan and reviewed the safety and security procedures for the airport. I conducted a Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats (SWOT) Analysis, as well as a Threat and Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment (THIRA) and used them to analyze the possible hazards that can affect the airport and made my updates to the plan around that. Upon completing my 400 hour internship, I graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelors of Science in Emergency Management in August of 2019. I was inducted into the National Society of Leadership and Success on February 9th, 2019. I was inducted into, and elected to the position of Treasurer in the Emergency Management Honor Society, Epsilon Pi Phi, on March 1, 2019, and held that position through the semester. I am also an executive member of the Emergency Management Student
Association (EMSA) through my position as Graduate Student Liaison. I received my Master's of Science in Emergency Management and Homeland Security through Arkansas Tech University in December 2020. My degree has taught me about the importance of risk mitigation and made me a better, safer pilot. I am currently seeking employment as a pilot to build the flight time necessary to become a licensed Airline Transport Pilot.
